Gmail and deleting mass mail

I went to the website low and behold I had somewhere around 700+ messages. I wanted to delete them all at once and couldn't figure out how. Who wants to check 700+ check boxes. I had a look in the help file, as well as on the forums with no real answers. So I will turn to my VI community for some answers. Thanks

which site? There may be a box that lets you select all mail on one page. That won't fix things completely, but should make the clearing out faster.
